The Canada Bay Community Choir (CBCC) is a non-auditioning choir that needs male and female singers. CBCC aims to be a choir that caters for novice and experienced singers who want the opportunity to sing with others in a relaxed, friendly environment.

The decision to send your child to daycare or preschool can be stressful, overwhelming and difficult. How can you be prepared so that your child is too?


Fridays 19 & 26 October and 9 to 30 November, 11am-12noon

Six sessions which introduce you to what to expect in the toddler years, How to plan, prepare and meet you and your toddler's needs and expectations. For parents and babies 0 to 13 months. No session on 2 November. Cost is DCC membership only. Membership runs from1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019. Registration essential.


Tuesdays 16 October to 20 November, 7pm-9pm

This six week parenting program is for parents and carers of babies, toddlers and children up to 7 years. It is facilitated by Dympna Kennedy. This is an adults only program and no childcare is available. Wednesday 31 October, 10am to 12noon

Grandparents Day recognizes the significant contribution that grandparents make to families and communities. This is a free event for grandparents caring for grandchildren from 0-6 years and those about to become grandparents for the first time, but places are limited so booking is essential, or phone 9719 8102.


Wednesdays, 10:30am-12:30pm

This is an offsite playgroup for grandparents and grandchildren from 18 months to 6 years. The playgroup is an informal gathering where grandparents and grandchildren come together in a relaxed and friendly environment to connect, play and learn. There are currently spaces available in this playgroup. Please contact DCC if you and your grandchild would like to attend.


The City of Canada Bay Council provides assistance with Parenting programs.


Sunday 11 November, 12:30pm-4:30pm

This St John Ambulance workshop is designed to meet the needs of parents, grandparents, carers of children and members of the public entrusted with the care of babies and children. Covers children from 0 to 12 years. Fee program. Bookings essential.
