Women's Group

The Women's Group meets weekly on Thursdays between 1pm and 2:30pm. Restarts 1 February 2018. You can bring along some craft you are working on or join in making squares for crocheted blankets which are donated to charity. Or you can just come along for a cup of tea and a chat.

Men's Group

Join men for stimulating discussions - from personal to global (but no politics or religion), plus BBQs and social activities. Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday in the month from 10am till 12:30pm. Restarts 14 February 2018.

Canasta Card Players

Newcomers welcome, even if you haven't played before. Fridays from 1pm till 5pm. Members free. Restarts 2 February 2018.


The Mahjong group meets weekly from 2pm till 4pm. Newcomers welcome. Restarts 2 February 2018.

Bay Quilters

This keen patchwork quilting group meet on the first and third Saturday of the month from 1:30pm till 4pm. Restarts 3 February 2018.

Drummoyne VIP Support - Local Client Group

A VIP (Vision Impaired Persons) Peer Support Group meets on the third Thursday of the month between 11:30am and 1pm. The next meeting will be on 15 February 2018. The November meeting will be on an outing on a Tuesday and there will be no meeting in December.

Are you interested in activities, outings, guest speakers and discussion groups? The purpose of VIP Peer Support Groups is to provide a venue whereby people who are blind or have low vision can meet other people who are blind or have low vision, to share experiences and encouragement. The aim of the group is that people will learn from and encourage each other and experience social interaction. Friends and family are welcome.

Free program, $2 for refreshments. Some transport available for residents of City of Canada Bay. Phone Coral on 9713 5734. This group is supported by Vision Australia.

Walking Group

Join us on Monday at 7:30am to 8:30am for an hour's walk from Taplin Park at the end of Thompson Street, Drummoyne. This is an enjoyable way to exercise with other locals in a great location beside the bay. Term 1, 2018 runs from 5 February until 9 April (not 2 April). This is a free activity, but registration beforehand is required at the DCC office which is open between 9:30am and 4pm.
