Tai Chi

Mondays, 17 February to 6 April

Classes cover the Tai Chi for Arthritis/Health program which is a modified Sun style program developed by Dr Paul Lam along with other health and Tai Chi experts to assist people improve their health. The benefits can include decreased stress, increased muscle strength, improved balance, improved posture and a chance to make new friends.

There are two classes this term and are all held at the Drummoyne Oval Pavilion. Please enrol and make payments at the DCC office which is open weekdays from 9.30am till 4pm.

  • Tai Chi for Arthritis – Beginners is held between 10.15am and 11am for eight weeks. There is a free introductory class on Monday 3 February at 10.15am for anyone who would like to try Tai Chi.
  • Tai Chi for Health is held between 11.15am and 12.15pm for eight weeks.

Yoga & Relaxation

Tuesdays, 4 February to 7 April

Hatha Yoga is the exercise of physical aspect of Yoga, which combines postures, movement and breath with relaxation and meditation. It was developed hundreds of years ago in India and has since spread throughout the world. Term 1, 2020 of this Hatha Yoga program starts on Tuesday, 4 February from 9.30am till 10.45am. Led by Keri. Fee program.

Walking Group

Mondays, 3 February to 6 April

Join us at 7.30am to 8.30am for an hour’s walk from Taplin Park at the end of Thompson Street, Drummoyne. This is an enjoyable way to exercise with other locals in a great location beside the bay. Term 1, 2020 starts on 3 February. This is a free activity, but registration beforehand is required at the DCC office which is open between 9.30am and 4pm.

Saturday Yoga
